A quick, foolproof way to get soft pasta, noodles or rice, with the perfect consistency and great flavour every time.
Follow our simple tips before you tweak and change to your taste.

Tip the whole pouch into a heat-safe bowl or your Huel reusable pot. Check the back of the pack for the exact amount of water you need – different flavours use different amounts of water!

Boil your kettle and, as soon as it clicks off, pour in the exact amount of boiling water your pack tells you (for most it’s around 200 ml). Stir thoroughly and make sure there is no dry powder in the corners.
Did you know that 200g of water is the same as 200ml? So use a scale if you want extra precision.

Cover the bowl with a plate, a cover your Huel pot loosely with its lid. This is the bit that actually “cooks” your Huel.
Now forget about it for at least 7 minutes, ideally more.
Uncover, give it another good stir and taste a bit. Too firm? Cover it back up for another minute or two. Too thick? Stir in a small splash of boiling water.

Adjust the water. A small splash more can loosen things up, or an extra minute covered can thicken it back down.
Cover it up. Trapping steam keeps the heat where it needs to be so everything cooks all the way through.
Hot sauce & herbs. Herbs, hot sauce, extra veg or your favourite protein are easy ways to boost flavour and make it your own.
There’s no single way to make Huel, and no one knows that better than our Hueligans. Here are some of crowd-favourite hacks and tips to help you find your own routine.

"Try adding tomato puree when you add the water and give it a really good mix, that tends to neutralise spice a bit in tomato-based meals."

"I use vegetable stock instead of water. It makes all of them taste better."

"I've tried prepping the pots / H&S pouches with a normal spoon or a fork, but the wide end of those implements makes it hard to get all the powder out of the corners of the cup when stirring...But a long handled sundae spoon is almost like it's designed for stirring those clumps of powder with the hot water"
