Bursting with whole foods and natural ingredients

Made with delicious whole natural foods, each ingredient has been handpicked to provide full flavour, tasty texture and of course, the complete nutrition Huel is known for.

Grains and Vegetables

Each natural grain and vegetable has been pre-cooked without any additives, and then freeze-dried to lock in the flavour, texture and nutrients. You just need to add water to unlock the tasty goodness.

Brown rice

Selected as the key ingredient in all varieties of Huel Instant Meals, brown rice provides a creamy, almost risotto-like texture. It’s a great source of complex carbohydrates and supplies protein, fibre and key micronutrients like niacin, pantothenic acid, phosphorus, iron and zinc, vitamins and minerals all essential in making sure you’re keeping healthy.

Quinoa

The red quinoa fluffs-up when you add water to give a light, chewy texture. It’s naturally rich in complex carbs, protein, fibre, niacin, potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and phosphorus, a mineral required for healthy teeth and gums.

Vegetables

From succulent peppers to juicy tomatoes, Instant Meals is bursting with lots of different vegetables. Depending on the flavour you choose, one meal is jam-packed with sweetcorn, spinach and a hint of red chilli, to sweet basil, green beans and garlic.

Each vegetable not only provides a delicious burst of flavour, but also a good amount of fibre and different vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients depending on the variety. The tomato powder is packed with carbohydrate, fibre, beta-carotene for vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, selenium and lycopene, a strong antioxidant. The spinach powder provides carbs, fibre, niacin, vitamin E, potassium, chloride, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, copper, manganese and iodine, which is involved in keeping the thyroid in check.

Flaxseeds

The crunchy brown flaxseeds are there for a number of roles. They are a rich source of the essential omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) as well as monounsaturates, protein, carbs, fibre, and thiamin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, choline, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron, essential for transporting oxygen around the body.

Carefully selected, perfectly balanced nutrients

As well as the whole ingredients, we add a mix of pea protein nuggets, sunflower oil and MCTs from coconut to give Instant Meals the best nutrition possible.

Pea protein

We’ve added pea protein from yellow split peas in the form of nuggets and powder. As well as providing protein, it contributes to the vitamin E, biotin, choline, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, a crucial mineral in fertility and copper, essential for keeping a good immune system.

Pasta

Mac & Cheeze flavour is based on pasta rather than rice and quinoa. The pasta is made from 100% durum wheat and provides starchy carbs as well as some protein, fibre and a few vitamins and minerals.

The pasta in Mac and Cheeze is sourced from durum wheat. The wheat is milled, which results in semolina (from the endosperm of the wheat). Once the semolina is made, it is mixed with water to create pasta dough. From there, the dough is put through an extruder and shaped. The pasta is then dried out to decrease moisture and leaves the perfectly shaped pasta ready to be prepared by simply adding water (boiling or microwave)!

Sunflower Oil powder

Sunflower oil is a great source of the omega-6 essential fatty acid linoleic acid. It also provides some of the vitamin E in Huel Instant Meals, a vitamin great for maintaining healthy skin.

Medium-Chain Triglyceride powder

Gathered from sustainably-sourced coconut oil, medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are types of fats that have health and performance benefits. They are a very efficient and energy-dense nutrient.

Corn starch

Corn starch helps to create a thicker sauce once Instant Meals has been prepared, as well as providing some of the carbohydrate. It is also used as a carrier for some ingredients.
