Important Reminder: Hot & Savoury Changes 2025

We’re making some important updates to our Hot & Savoury range. These changes are based on customer feedback, research, and data to give you the best possible Huel experience.

From new packaging to improved recipes and a refreshed flavour line-up, here’s everything you need to know about what’s changing and why we’re excited about it.

Please note: We’re rolling out changes regionally, which may vary by market. The updates below apply specifically to the UK.

What’s changing?

Delisting certain flavours in all formats:

We’ve already delisted the flavours: Tomato & Herb, Sweet & Sour, Korma, and will soon delist Spaghetti Carbonara Pouch.

If you are subscribed to any of the above flavours, you would have already received or will receive communications explaining how this will affect your subscription.

New packaging format: All remaining Hot & Savoury Pouches will be updated to a box of 7 single-serving sachets - Hot & Savoury Meal Packs. We’re excited for you to try these, as they’ll provide improved consistency, texture and ensure the perfect portion every time.

The price and cost per serving will remain the same. 

New & improved recipes for certain flavours: We have an announcement for our Grains range. As part of our plans to revamp our Hot & Savoury range, we’ve made exciting enhancements to our Thai Green Curry, Mexican Chilli, and Madras recipes, delivering an even better taste and texture. These upgraded recipes will be introduced in our new Meal Packs.

What if I am subscribed to Spaghetti Carbonara Pouch?

If you’re currently subscribed to the Spaghetti Carbonara Pouch, we’ll be moving you over to Spaghetti Carbonara Pots. Since our Pot range is slightly more expensive, the price will increase from £20 to £25.60.

If you'd prefer to avoid the price increase, you can log into your account and swap your Spaghetti Carbonara Pouch for a different Meal Pack flavour once they become available in April. We expect this to happen towards the end of July 2025, but this is subject to change based on demand. We'll send you a reminder before this change takes effect.

Why are these changes happening?

Delisting flavours: We wish that we could continue to offer every flavour. However, we received a lot of customer feedback about Hot & Savoury that was important to review, as well as our own research and unfortunately, there were some significant changes we needed to make. 

New packaging: Each single-serve sachet will be perfectly portioned to offer the perfect balance of ingredients with every serving, which we know will make your life easier and your meals tastier. 

New & improved recipe: We launched our Grains in 2020 and since then haven’t made any changes to the product. But our Grains flavours don't quite align with the flavour/texture many customers expect. We have made some big changes to the ingredients and flavour profiles to elevate these flavours and massively improve the texture, giving you a tastier and more foodie experience. We’ll share a detailed breakdown of the improvements with you before the transition takes place, but here is something to get you excited:

• Richer, more authentic flavours – every recipe has been improved, with Thai Green Curry now more fragrant, Mexican Chilli smokier, and Madras richer.
• Better texture – larger, plant-based pieces replace pea protein nuggets in most flavours and a new improved ‘mince’ is used in Bolognese & Mexican Chilli, massively improving texture. There is an improved rice-to-sauce ratio that makes this look closer to something you’d make at home.
• More vibrant ingredients – fresh additions like green beans, adzuki beans, and sweetcorn make every meal look and taste better.

And in an easier, more convenient format with the new Meal Pack.

What happens next?

We know that you loved these flavours and it has been a difficult decision to delist them. While stocks last, your subscription to Hot & Savoury Pouches will continue.

Once we have run out of stock, we will move your subscription to our new Hot & Savoury Meal Packs at no additional cost.

If you are subscribed to a Pouch flavour we are delisting, we will move you to a different flavour. 

Key dates

📅 April 2025: All pouches will be removed from the site. Hot & Savoury Meal Packs launch.

📅 October 2025: We estimate all Pouch subscriptions will transition to Meal Packs.

• Chick'n & Mushroom Pasta (Pouch) → Chick'n & Mushroom Pasta(Meal Pack) – from late September
• Cajun Pasta (Pouch) → Cajun Pasta (Meal Pack) – from late October

Please note: These dates may change based on demand. If stock runs out sooner, the switch could happen earlier.
